FORTIFIED™ Product Solutions

Tarco manufactures roofing products designed to support FORTIFIED™ Roof compliant assemblies when installed as part of a properly designed, installed, and verified FORTIFIED™ Roof system.

FORTIFIED™ Roof compliance is achieved through system performance, not products alone.

When sealed roof decks are incorporated as part of a FORTIFIED™ Roof system, attic ventilation requirements remain governed by applicable building codes. Ventilation must be addressed in accordance with adopted building codes and applicable FORTIFIED™ program requirements, with final determination of compliance resting with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

Tarco products are engineered to support roof level requirements established by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) when used in accordance with FORTIFIED™ Roof standards. These products are used to support projects where FORTIFIED™ Roof standards are specified, pursued, or desired, particularly in regions where severe weather can impact roof performance.

Trademark Licensing and Product Evaluation

Tarco participates in a Trademark Licensing Agreement with the IBHS FORTIFIED™ Building Program. Under this agreement, select Tarco roofing products have undergone independent, third party evaluation and have been shown to align with applicable FORTIFIED™ Roof standards when incorporated into a properly designed, installed, and verified FORTIFIED™ Roof compliant system.

Participation in the licensing program allows Tarco to identify products that support FORTIFIED™ Roof construction while maintaining the requirement that system design, installation, and verification determine overall compliance.
